The late Chris Cornell was an incredible musician. His work with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and other acts has given us plenty of great music to enjoy. It’s a shame we can’t have more. His work with Audioslave is just as noteworthy as his previous projects. The American rock super-group consisted of Cornell (vocals), and Rage Against the Machine members Tom Morello (lead guitar), Tim Commerford (bass/backup vocals), and Brad Wilk (drums).
Found on their debut album are some rock in’ tracks that have remained just as good as when they were first released. Personally, this album has gotten my heart racing on more than one occasion when I’ve been in a slump. Their music is freeing despite their name. This album will chase away those January blues.
The album literally starts off with a blast in the opening song “Cochise.” The build up in the beginning is so good and the anticipation pulls you in.
“Show Me How to Live” is an incredible song. The music video has a Dukes of Hazzard look to it.
This album has plenty to offer.
